Exactly, I have to shut it down by pushing the power off for 4 secs.

Very strange, it's happened 2 times today and now I can't reproduce it.

Anyway, I wasn't doing anything, I had only moved some pictures to my computer and then I left my computer for a while with the phone plugged in. When I came back I removed the phone and MPE locked...

...when I remove the USB while MPE is connected.
Vista can't shut down the program, it's just ghosted/waiting...
