I have no idea, the only thing I know is that it pops up when I sync all messages.

Unfortunately it still does happen (although I get the feeling that it happens less often, but it may just be my imagination ).

I have installed the version in the link you have supplied. The error is still the same. I also have a general.ini file that contains:
at C:\Users\my_username\Application Data\MyPhoneExplorer.

I get the same thing. I have a HTC Desire X. The only app that I can think of that could interfere with SMS sending is AutoSMS.
