Just found the Toshiba BT issue. I have the 2.1.1127.0 version.
This explains problems with the pop-ups (though it did not explain there was not any with version 1.3).

I have it very similar.
Yesterday I updated from version 1.3.x, which worked well.
After a fresh installation, computer restart, all MPE user data manually scratched - it connected (manually) via BT on comm41, synchronized data without any problem, worked around a minute or two and crashed with MS ...
